Unfortunately USPS is extremely backed up right now due to COVID-19 causing facilities to be heavily understaffed. There is also an unprecedented volume of packages to process due to increased holiday shopping this year.
Here's the notice on their website: "ALERT: USPS IS EXPERIENCING UNPRECEDENTED VOLUME INCREASES AND LIMITED EMPLOYEE AVAILABILITY DUE TO THE IMPACTS OF COVID-19. WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE AND REMAIN COMMITTED TO DELIVERING THE HOLIDAYS TO YOU."
From what we know - they are not actively scanning packages at every stop, so packages might not show up-to-date tracking.
